Effective immediately, HIS is increasing our standard warranty to 4 years. And, it’s retroactive – all products we have shipped since October 23, 2015 are covered. All other warranty terms stay the same.
We’ve shipped over 125,000 monitors since announcing the industry-first 3-year warranty in 2001 and the good news for our customers (and for us) is that our products rarely fail on their own. But now you have the assurance that, if one does, you are covered for 48 months!
And not only do we have the longest warranty, we continue to provide industry-leading warranty service.
- 24-48 hour repair turnaround – over the past year we have return-shipped 83% of all warranty repairs within 24 hours. 99.2% within 48 hours!
- We apply any ECN’s (Engineering Change Notices) that have been made since that product was initially shipped
- We guarantee to not just repair the unit, but to return it in better condition – operationally and aesthetically – than when we received it
- We send a personal report via e-mail that outlines what we found and what we did, along with UPS tracking information
This 4-year warranty is included in the price of all of our industrial monitors, touch screens, and accessories. This warranty includes the costs for parts, labor, and return shipping to our customers anywhere in the U.S.A. Our Warranty Statement is available on our web site for your convenience.
What is included in the HIS warranty?
As mentioned above, our warranty includes all of the parts and labor necessary to get the monitor working properly again.
We always apply our policy, “when in doubt, replace the part.” That means that we go the extra mile and swap out any parts that we think will provide the kind of future service our customers expect of our products.
We also apply any ECN’s (Engineering Change Notices) that have been made to that product since the unit was shipped that might enhance its future reliability.
We guarantee to always return a monitor that has not just been repaired, but that is in better condition – operationally and aesthetically – than it was when we received it. This includes cleaning the bezel and window and refurbishing scratched stainless steel.
Finally, we automatically send a personal report via e-mail that outlines exactly what we found and what we did, along with UPS tracking information.
What kind of turnaround can you expect from an HIS warranty repair?
Over 80% of the time, we repair the unit, clean it up, test it, and ship it back the day after we receive it (over 95% are sent back within 2 days!).
Occasionally, we have to call the customer for more information — such as when we can’t observe the problem reported or have a question about the customer’s application — and that call can take a little extra time.
